AEROSMITH Drummer To Serve As Honorary Chairman Of BOSTON MUSIC AWARDS

October 25, 2007

According to The Boston Globe, AEROSMITH drummer Joey Kramer will serve as the honorary chairman of the Boston Music Awards, which means he won’t have to pony up $100 for a VIP ticket.

As previously reported, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, ALL THAT REMAINS and SHADOWS FALL are among the nominees in the "Outstanding Metal/Hardcore Band of the Year" category at this year's Boston Music Awards. The ceremony will take place on December 1, 2007 at the Orpheum Theater and will highlight the best new music released by artists with close ties to Boston in all genres of music. In keeping with tradition, a new artist will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, as well as honor a new Unsung Hero. Musicians with close ties to Boston that have released an album between June 2006 and August 2007 are eligible.

"Outstanding Metal/Hardcore Band of the Year" nominees:

01. ALL THAT REMAINS
02. CONVERGE
03. ISIS
04. KILLSWITCH ENGAGE
05. SHADOWS FALL
06. THE RED CHORD
07. UNEARTH
